New Orleans is a beautiful city with so much to offer as far as photography locations. We love a classic New Orleans engagement session full of variety, history, fun, and so much love! Here are a couple of my personal favorite spots in the city. Longue Vue House and Gardens offers so many options if you love outdoor photos!
Brandon proposed to me at this special rooftop bar overlooking St. Charles Ave! We always love coming back to photograph other couples in love! The best part? You can stay at the Pontchartrain Hotel and have a date night at Jack Rose, a must visit restaurant on the ground floor! So much to do in one place.
After you get engaged, a great way to get to know and work with your photographer before the big day is to have an engagement session. This sweet time where you’re no longer “dating” but not yet married can be perfectly captured by going to your favorite spots, doing your favorite things, and forming a connection with your photographer! This New Orleans engagement session we are proudly sharing, lets you feel the couples love in a way you’d never forget.
Even though Chelsea hails from Arizona, she and Blake definitely made the most out of their session in the South!
We started the evening at the beautiful Longue Vue House and Gardens where we took advantage of the summer sunset halo. Not only is this location a historic museum from the early 1900s, but it is also an expansive garden with 8 acres of greenery, flowers, and trees lining a beautiful golf course. Between the fashion choices and the greenery the museum offers, we truly feel the romance in these images.
All of this to say, you can choose whatever vibe you want in your engagement session and choosing a location, as well as your wardrobe, helps. New Orleans offers numerous spots to embark your new and exciting journey. We can probably all agree that this couple showed us how to make the most of your photoshoot!
After driving down to the Lower Garden District, we hopped into the Pontchartrain Hotel. Home to a popular rooftop bar, Hot Tin. This is where the couple showed their edgy side with a powerful wardrobe change along with some tasty cocktails.
Believe us, your session can be so many things. As long as it represents you as a couple, you’ll have so much fun in the journey!
